Nobody thinks the guy is coming in and putting up what he did in 2014, but I disagree with the idea he "looked slow" in Seattle.
He averaged 20 YPC as their #3 receiver. Slow guys don't do that.
KC's offense is elite without him. He offers a helpful skillset the team currently lacks, that would shut down the best remaining method good defenses can hope to employ and consistently slow the Chiefs' offense down (bracketing Kelce and Hill and daring someone else to beat you).
No one expects Gordon to be featured. But the role he'd fill in this offense - running slants and digs, blocking, running overs and 9s... all are things you can pick up quickly, especially since the Browns offense in his heyday was similar in structure.
