Looking forward to seeing the wrinkles and plays they have set for Gordon. It’s like unveiling a whole new layer to your offense, that nobody has seen yet. Please stay clean Josh. But if you can’t I will take the piss test for you my wife will take your piss test we will find someone who can take your piss test for you.

Bills fan back again. Figured I would pipe in and quote this one as a first post this year.

First this quote...you are correct. Allen was junk against Spags looks last year. Allen was too pumped up as well which is never good. Id say the difference this year that could change this is we are actually running the ball really well. Oline is much more consistent run blocking so we won't be one dimensional this time as we were last year so it will be harder for Spags.

Also sanders > john brown
Knox can catch a ball finally
And Beasley is healthy.

Add to that that your D looks a little rough and I agree it should likely be a shootout. The bills D has improved and are playing more like the 2019 D but to many of your points it is against weak competition. Having said that...it's not easy to shut out anyone in the NFL let alone twice in 4 weeks so make no mistake they are better.

This game to me is simple. Whoever turns it over more loses. Thats it. Neither D can handle short fields against the other teams offense.

Good luck to you guys...I still say in spite of the Herbert (no relation) love that its a chiefs and bills conference for the foreseeable future.

Also. You guys may need to pump the brakes a bit on Gordon. he's caught 110 balls and like 8 TDs since 2014. He looked slow in Seattle and is one wiff of weed from being done yet again.

Could he be a great add...yes. but if you watched Richard Sherman this past week with bucs it will take a while before he's up to speed.

He'll be fine against one of your small corners. All he has to do is run 8-12 yards, turn around and catch the ball.

At 6'3'' 230 lbs, Gordon wins that every time.

I expect McDermott to drop the safeties super deep again, repeating what he did 1st 2 matchups. If he does not, bombs away.

If he drops the safeties we will slice the middle of the field with Hill, Kelce, and now Gordon.

Your defense won't stop us, best to hope for is we make dumb mistakes.

Oh nos! What ever shall we do if he doesn't put up All Pro numbers? I guess we will just have to continue to lead the league in points per possession.

Heh, reading today's thread, I get where you would think we're deluded into thinking the Chiefs are acquiring DK Metcalf.... but, there's another thread where 90% of the talk has been "low risk/potential decent reward".... exactly what you said, basically. Could he be a great add, yes.. maybe.

At the same time, he doesn't need to do a ton to be a great add for an already incredibly efficient offense.

The original prediction was he wouldn't even be ready to suit up until next week at the earliest, so it's exciting.

Was Sherman (who last time I remember seeing him was being used as a blocker by Henry) playing in another league this year and catching TDS? Gordon was. When was the last time Sherman was good?

Josh Norman played for the Bills last year. He is still a decent player. Sherman played for the Niners. Norman was signed by Niners this year.

Both players are still decent players for their age and injury history.

What is TDS? Is that something that does not belong in football threads?

Nobody thinks the guy is coming in and putting up what he did in 2014, but I disagree with the idea he "looked slow" in Seattle.

He averaged 20 YPC as their #3 receiver. Slow guys don't do that.

KC's offense is elite without him. He offers a helpful skillset the team currently lacks, that would shut down the best remaining method good defenses can hope to employ and consistently slow the Chiefs' offense down (bracketing Kelce and Hill and daring someone else to beat you).

No one expects Gordon to be featured. But the role he'd fill in this offense - running slants and digs, blocking, running overs and 9s... all are things you can pick up quickly, especially since the Browns offense in his heyday was similar in structure.
