Let’s do some quick math. 70k college football players. Half are black, so 35k.
Roughly 1000 make the nfl so assume 700. So there are 34k black football players who leave college without an nfl career. Among those 34k are team captains and outstanding team leaders, some of the brightest football minds out there. Are you telling me that out of that 34k only ONE is good enough to be an nfl head coach? Are you telling me that shouldn’t be spilling with talent? These are undoubtedly the guys most likely to be effective as nfl coaches because they played the positions, they know how locker rooms work and most of them know the Xs and Os.
There is talent there and if the nfl isn’t tapping into it, shame on them for not trying harder.

So, around 7% of the population makes up half of the entirety of NCAA football players?
And you want to create more opportunity?
