You posted an unlinked thing that could have come from anywhere that just says "the players don't want to play"... which could mean a lot of things, given there are like a hundred of them.
NOW you've added the Florio part and the bit about deferring to the players.
I wouldn't call it math, just trying to figure out WTF you're talking about over 4 separate posts... but yeah, if that's true , it's what I've suspected, they've let too many cooks in the kitchen and the NFL hasn't taken control of the situation.
And that's pretty surprising, if true.. both teams know they could either decide it on the field or let the NFL deal with it, and if they chose the latter, I'd lean towards not screwing over other teams in the process.
