Those worms and grubs don't just jump into their mouths now, do they? To many insect species, chickens are a combination of grizzly bear, great white shark, and salt-water crocodile. Worms make horror movies about chickens. Grubs view chickens like Europeans view the plague. Chickens are killing machines.
