I could totally agree, but word has it that people have screened the rough cut of the film from what I've seen have had really really positive reviews. IIRC, a few of them have said they think it's the best one since the original. NOT MY WORDS- Just relaying the rumors and buzz I've seen.
IMO, it has to be better than TLC, and Shia LeBouf is a welcomed addition to the series. I've always liked the kid since he won Project Greenlight way back in the day. I think the plan is to have him takeover the franchise. He seems to have a general appeal for movie audiences, and is actually a pretty talented actor. He fits in with today's action hero, in the sense that he can actually act and doesn't look like Sly or Arnold, thanks to CGI taking care of action scenes. |
I will probably see it. But I won't be surprised if it tanks.
Also, for what it's worth, Jonah Hill is rumored to be in Transformers 2.
