Going by need, usually equals a reach in the draft. I commend Pioli for sticking to his guns. He also had to give Albert the benefit of the doubt.
I seriously doubt, we pick O-line with our top pick this year, as well. I don't find fault in going with who you think is the best player, at a position of need. All things being equal, the D-line needed to be addressed, every bit as much as the O-line.
I think Pioli is on the right track and his vision for the team will pay dividends in the long-run.

The problem I had with Pioli and the draft was not Albert or drafting Jackson. It was sitting on Niswanger, Waters, Goff and ? at RT and expecting something to come of it.
