In his defense, he brought in Alleman, Ndukwe, Goff, Colin Brown, and O'Callaghan.
I believe Pioli knew/knows that there was a problem with the O-line. I think this past off-season they were willing to try low-cost alternatives to see if anybody could pan out.
Most of the moves for the O-line haven't been any better than what we already had, but quietly, Pioli brought in a RT, that has done a better than average job, in O'Callaghan.
I view this year as try-outs for the team.
