Every year after the Spurs are eliminated I nervously wait to see if Coach Popovich is retiring. That roster is getting old & Popovich is 60+, I don't see him staying through a major rebuilding effort the team is going to have to undergo in a couple of years.

1) The stage in life Self's kids are at - Self's daughter was a HS senior in the fall of 2008 and his son will enter college the fall. (How mahy dads want their sons to go their alma mater, especially if it was where you met your wife?)

2) Bill Self may be a realist - this conference re-alignment is not done by a long-shot and at the end of the day do you really expect KU to still be in the BCS.
