I've got a question for the Raiders fans.

What is your view on the Raiders offseason so far? Honestly, I think I'd be pissed. That is my honest opinion.

And the Chiefs finished 7-9 with an even Better O-Line + Priest Holmes - Larry Johnson + Trent Green (Surely you'd rate him better than Kerry Collins ???)

The Bottom Line being that all 3 D's were horrible.

The Raiders have more to work with defensively IMO (Currently on Roster) than the Chiefs or Vikes right now .... and last i looked are also able to sign-draft defensive players this offseason.

Charles Woodson + Phillip Buchanon > Vikes DB's (A. Winfield etc) >>> Chiefs DB's ( Warfield etc ...)

Sapp + Washington + Brayton > Vikes D-Line ( Even with K. Williams ) >>> Chiefs D-Line (Hicks, Dalton, Sims, Allen).

Vikes have a better LB corps than either the Raiders and espescially the Chiefs .....

I hate to defend the Raders, BUT it looks to me like Chief fans are tryng to create a feeling of Resentment in Raderland for no reason ( Best WR in the NFL + Resigning Porter who was many a Chief fans wet dream + Signing the best FA RB on the Board ... All by Day 1 ).

What has KC Done so far ?? Other than stock the wet-bar in a few Limos ..........

[QUOTE=easymobee]And did you guys ever complain about how things were done BEFORE it was obvious that it was not the best route?

You are relatively new here, so I'll fill you in...This board has been inundated with threads bashing the Chiefs front office for poor player acquisitions for the last four years, maybe longer.

I watched the Vikings quite a bit last year and the guy takes as many plays off as he makes. Vikings fans are GLAD to see this guy leave...how are the Raiders fans going to feel when this guy walks off the field before the game ends?

The Raiders got better. The Raiders have always accepted that professional football is entertainment and that Moss' antics will add entertainment value as well as someone who can be a difference maker and make others better. And I want them somewhat better so that at the end of the season there are more W's in AFC-W against the AFC-E. I am waiting on the schedules but there needs to be big clashes between the two divisions. Entertainment you know.

Offensively.... they could be a juggernaut. Moss is a badass and in that offense with Collins and Porter, they should be a nice trio. Add Jordan at RB and if he's as good as many think, they could be a threat to score 27 or more a game.

Question is defense... then again, Davis loves the passing game and Raider fans love it as well. It puts butts in the seats and that's what Moss will do.

Lots of defensive questions, but they'll be entertaining.

Yes, you can say "but they didn't get any defense" but I'd say two things to that:
1. You guys didn't watch all the games that I did so you really don't know how many f***ing times we went 3 and out on offense and left our defense on the field for seriously extended periods of time. Having an offense that should be able to sustain a drive will help the defense.
2. The Raiders aren't done. It has only been day one of free agency. Rumors are already out there that the Raiders are bringing in Ed Jasper (DT, Falcons) on Monday and have their sights set on Andre Dyson (CB, Tennessee) and Morlon Greenwood (OLB, Dolphins). I'm confident that there will be more looks than just that, too, including more after June 1st, when perhaps a 3-4 linebacker like Sam Cowart stands a good possibility of being cut.
As for the salary cap, it isn't really that much of an issue. People always tell me "Ha ha, the Raiders don't have any cap room" and the simple fact of the matter is that they always end up being wrong. John Clayton has literally run a "Raiders against the cap and it is time to panic" article every year for the past 6 years. Literally, for the past 6 years. He has yet to be right.
If free agency ended tomorrow and these were the ONLY moves that we'd made, I would obviously have serious concerns about our defense... but there's a whole lot of off-season ahead of us to address that. As for how they started? Man, I couldn't be happier.
I thought that as well a few years ago about the time on the field for the defense. A couple years ago the Chiefs seemingly tried to score a TD everytime they had the ball. Just the same as a three and out if you score too quick. But the Chiefs can pound the ball as well and cut down on three and outs and the defense still sucked. At some point you just have to look at the players. The Raiders got too old and had noone in the wings.
The salary cap will be an issue because Moss and Woodson take up so much room. Sure you can get a guy like Gannon to take a cut because he lost his starting job and is near the end of his career. But are you going to have luck getting other guys to stick their necks out for a 5 win team? The good players on the team are not going to want to take one for the team if they think the team is going nowhere. Davis will threaten to cut them, but with the losing situation right now, that might be an empty threat. They can't afford to cut what little talent they have, so the threat is useless.

What the Raiders fan has said is true, our customs are different. What Al Davis has said is unimportant, and we do not hear his words.
