Signed football

I found a Larry Johnson signed football today for $99.99. They reserved the ball for me until they receive the certificate of authenticity (hopefully tomorrow). I'm getting it for my dad, whose birthday is Saturday. Not to worry, he already knows. I was just curious though. Do y'all think that's a good deal? They also had signed jersies. Marcus Allen - 179.99, Dante Hall - 179.99, and Len Dawson - 199.99. Should I nix the 99.99 Larry Johnson signed football, and go ahead and get him a jersey as a Christmas present? Just wondering which is the better deal.

It depends on the football. If it's an authentic NFL game ball, yes it's worth it. If it is a synthetic leather NFL replica $15 ball, no.

We had a DJ and EK signed ball go for $100 even at our 37 Forever auction last week. We also had a DJ autographed jersey go for $150.

It's not a game ball. And it's signed in silver. I'm starting to think it's too "showy". I would actually like it better if it were signed with a black marker.

Probably also throw in there whether the jersey is authentic or a one of those cheap ass replicas.

Also very cool that those two game balls were donated by someone. Very nice items to have.

I hardly know shit about signed stuff and what people collect but i think those silver markers are fairly common and popular. Just it not being an authentic ball makes it seem like a bit less is all.

My sister-in-law gave my brother-in-law and me each a team-signed 98 ball in a see-through plastic box. That was nice of her, and it's on the entertainment center, so I see it every day.

Go for the football. He can try and get other Chiefs to sign it, regardless of the era they played. Wouldn't it be great to have #10, #31, #49, and #88 on it, too? Football would take up less room, anyway.
