Help with peel and stick flooring
OK... quick question. My wife and I are putting down some peel and stick flooring in the bathroom (actually sister-in-law is doing it). We pulled up the old stuff (it was buckling, so we couldn't just lay the new stuff down on top), there's quite a bit of adhesive left on the floor... two questions, will that be a problem for the new tile and if so, do you know of anything to dissolve it that won't cause permanent damage to the floor and/or home?

Well... it's done. We did it the right way and it looks great. Getting the subfloor laid was nothing short of a debacle, but whatever... it's done and the bathroom looks 100% better.

did ya by chance happen to smear alil flooring adhesive on the back of them??put some down couple years ago without adhesive in a bath-.6 months later they were coming up..i know they say peel and stick but i like peel,smear,then stick

sorry..maybe i shoulda imparted my devine wisdom on you sooner

The SIL that's been doing these for the last several years has had no problems with them if you primer.
