Law & Surtain: The Best CB Tandem in the League?

(Since it's all but "official". http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/15106482.htm )

Law & Surtain: The Best CB Tandem in the League?

That would have definitely been true 2-3 years ago.

Is it still true?

I don't know. If they are both healthy, and have "gas left in the tank" then I think they could be...

Even if they are healthy, and ready to play though, I'm not sure they will live up to their billing, UNLESS Sims and the DTs pick it up with more pressure from the inside. AND they get help from our safeties.

Otherwise they could become the two most overpaid "older" CBs in the league.

Here's hoping that Sims and Wesley (along with Edwards, Junior, and Pollard--not to mention Hali) can make a difference.

you're going off topic of my reply intent....

i was debating about stats on comparing entire secondaries...not individual players....

bringing up law has more SB rings is silly....kevin faulk has more rings than marshal faulk...so does that mean kevin is better?

of course not

I know I am just giving you a hard time.

Chump is a very good CB and Law will definitely be a huge upgrade over what we have had the last 3-4 years

And any fair minded Bronco/Raider/Charger fan will admit as much.

We got a huge upgrade. No question about that.

But I don't know why you people expect donkey fans to come in here and start bowing down. It doesn't mean a thing until they start playing the games. You don't get respect based on reputation. The Chiefs are going to have to show they can put all these pieces together and the engine turns over.

Forever challenging for the title of "dumbest fans in the NFL".

Charger fan math:

5 years, $30M = $6M per year.

They just need to be in the to 15 D's in the league and the Offense should take care of the rest.
Dude, where have you been? That mentality didn't work the past 2 years, and it won't this year.

The Chiefs biggest problem this year, and I hope I am wrong, will be in the offense. It is aging like an old Ford Econoline Van, that has been asked to do way more than it was designed to do for way too long.

The pairing is right up there, but I wouldn't call it the best until I see them play together. Now, if we could get a little pass-rush, it wouldn't be close.

Put them in the Ravens defense with that kind of front seven and we're laughing.

You gotta admit, this offense has got to slow down sooner or later.

Here's hoping for "later."
