Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs FB Ronnie Cruz (knee) will miss the rest of the 2006 season with a knee injury. He is scheduled for surgery Monday, Oct. 16 and will leave the team without another true fullback. TE Kris Wilson will get snaps at the position, but the team will likely bring in some fullbacks for workouts.

Cruz was running hard and blocking well. Sorry to see him out. IMO Kris Wilson is not a good FB replacement.

I like this (not that Cruz is hurt)...

Now we'll see what Wilson is made of...I think Wilson is a lot more versitale than Cruz (obviously)...he could make a decent receiving weapon out of the backfield.
