I know what you are getting at...

The Browns moved to Baltimore and changed to the Ravens...

But I think this is a different issue.

I've grown up on the Chargers, and they are my team. If they changed their name from the San Diego Chargers to the Chula Vista Chargers or the Spanos Chargers (would never, ever happen) I would be fine.

They are still the Chargers.

Now if they changed their name, thats a different story.

Well, that is good news indeed. Thanks, Mr. Guru. For some reason, I had assumed that, since we lost to the goats, this game would result in a softer SOS. I had forgotten that we lost to the Texans as well.

Normally, I do root for the Chargers in the playoffs. I did last year. But after the bs they pulled firing a coach who had brought them back to respectability and won 13 games. They deserve the same fate that befell Nebraska after firing Solich a coach who averaged 10+ wins a season. Nebraska got what they deserve. They suck now. I now hope that SD gets sooo bad over the next few years, that AJ Smith gets fired. After that, I will root for SD when they arent competing with the Chiefs. Until then, piss on em.

Someone said the game outcome hurts out draft position, someone said it helps.

The answer is that it's exactly the same regardless of the outcome.

Denver win -- DEN 7-7, HOU 6-8, combined record: 13-15 + other opponents
Houston win -- DEN 6-8, HOU 7-7, combined record: 13-15 + other opponents

The draft is pretty much locked in to be:

1 - Miami
2 - NE (f/SF)
3 - ATL
4 - STL

Really pull for Oakland, Baltimore and the Jets (especially against KC).

Just goes to show you how SORRY the Chiefs are. The Texans were worse off than KC when Kubes and Smith took over. Charlie Casserly and Dom Capers were disasters and believe it or not, Casserly did a WORSE job of acquiring players than Petreson has in KC. Anyway, in the same time that Herm has been here, Kubes and Smith have the Texans turinig the corner. That team is showing improvemant even in the midst of devastating injuries to their star players. Enough of this - "Herm is doing a good job" CRAP. He's NOT. And anyone who thinks he is is a fool. And Carl doesn't need anymore time to "Get it done." He's proven he can't. Wake up Clark!
