Little Miss Sunshine - Page 5

So, I flipped on HBO and Little Miss Sunshine was on. It was the ending, but it seems that no matter where in the film I pick up, it's like watching it for the first time. I get into it and it's just awesome.

Anyone have the same view?

Anyone have a movie that is just like this - the rewatchability?

Oh man! That was one tough scene. I tell ya, I can watch every minute of that movie and it's almost like the first time. On a side note, my great uncle landed on Omaha Beach and was eventually shot in the back about a half inch from his spine. When he watched the movie he said it couldn't have been more dead on.

Obviously, I respectfully disagree. Admittedly, it was probably overhyped. But it was a great comment on the family unit, dysfunction and comedy. I thought it had a good balance.

And yeah, that's what happens when good films get overexposed or catch people off guard.

The opposite of that is something like I Am Legend where people absolutely LOVE Smith, explosions and horrible CGI, and completely ignore the horrendous story, but I digress.

And, by the way, Juno killed LMS in terms of my favorite indie flick.

Run Ronnie Run
Office Space
Kingpin
Bull Durham
Lebowski

there's a bunch more, but those are the most frequently replayed at my house.
