Huard to be canned?

According to Frank Boal on Fox 4 News, Kansas City, he said Huard is expected to be released sometime in the near future. There's a fire sale going on at one Arrowhead drive. Wow, I didn't expect Huard to be canned so soon. Way to re-sign him just last year, Carl. Great move.

Shoot - the coaching staff was just as much to blame. Can we throw more of them out too?

Well, you don't get to. Herm and Carl seem to have their swan song contract going. They're going to do it their way and it seems clear that as far as the immediate future goes Croyle is the QBOTF.

Or, QBOTNF anyway.

Competition should never impede growth. Quite the opposite, actually.

I don't think Culpepper's at the point in his career where he'll be stealing snaps from much of anyone.

I guess we could comfort your delicate sensibilities though and just resign 0dd T0dd who's a lock to stick at the no 2 spot...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

My favorite: The referee turning on his microphone and telling 80,000 fans:

"There is no foul for intentional grounding, as the quarterback wasn't under pressure."

We'll get another QB come Hell or high water. We aren't going into the season with Brodie Croyle and Thigpen as the only two QBs on the roster.

Well of course not. But I don't expect any pick/signing to be someone to challenge Croyle either....

If you are on the roster you have competition. Bringing Culpepper in doesn't help us in the least. We have gutted the roster, bringing in Culpepper basically says we're okay with old veterans, just not with the ones we had. I think the Chiefs are going to take a new approach for a change. How exactly did Culpepper help JaMarcus Russell?
