CAR CD PLAYER PROBLEM

So my CD player in my car has stopped working. Its a Audio System SC-816 and will not take in any of my burnt cds and most of my original cd's. It just makes me mad thinking about having to replace it, or fix it , so if anyone could offer any solutions i would appreciate it.

If you have an MP3 player, you can get a cassette adapter for about $5.

Then you will have a much larger library and don't have to mess with changing out the player.

Either that or an FM modulator but I have had very little success with those and eventually gave up.

Assuming that this is your stereo of course...

Also... have you tried cleaning the unit? There are CD cleaning kits sold IIRC.

I hate optical storage and having numerous cd players go out on numerous cars... I spent $200 on a kenwood music keg. It's basically a 10GB (they have 20gb) harddrive that's stores your music & hooks up to my cd changer port (with the help of an adapter for true sound) of my yukon. There's a cradle that allows you to hook it up to your PC.

Don't know about your car but I couldn't get something custom without spending big $ so that's why I chose the music keg. If you can get a stereo with an usb input you probably be doing the same thing.

Hope this helps.
