Vic retired a couple of years after ESHS's last state title in 1996. One of his assistants, Jeff Rich, coached for 7 or so years, but was replaced when Sam Brown came back a few years ago.

I did my HS Cadet Teaching under Sam Brown and Ed Bush my Senior year at ESHS....my only job was to bring him a Chocolate Malt from the Dairy Freeze on my way from the Senior High to the Junior High.

I think Sam coached at WJC....he also coached at Grandview for a while I believe.

Sam was an All-Stater when he played at ESHS....

One of my best friends worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Nodaway County while he was going to school. He said the people there seriously creeped him out.
