A team has to be complete in order to be an elite team. The Titans are not a complete team. They do not have one legitimate WR -- or an elite QB. I'm also hesistant to believe that a running game alone will take any team deep into the playoffs. Also, I was surprised that Peyton Manning went untouched during the game. He had all day to sit in the pocket and throw the ball downfield. Dominant defenses do not let QBs hang around too long. The Titans did not have a pass rush. nothing. The defensive line even had trouble getting away from their blockers. Unfortunetely, I believe Peyton is playing hurt. Otherwise, he would have scored at least 3 TDs. If you look at it, the Titans barely got by the Ravens. The score at the end was 13-10. And the Titans defense played against an inexperienced rookie QB that managed to picked off -- still they won by 3 points. This is just my opinion, I do not consider the Titans dominant or elite. However, I do like the Steelers. They're a hard hitting smashmouth and what I call an old style defense. I think they're excellent. The Steelers test will come this weekend. If they beat the Redskins, then the Steelers will have only lost to two top NFC teams. If they lose, then they lost to three top NFC teams. Then I don't know --- The Titans may very well be a good team. But until they face an elite offense and prove themselves -- the Steelers look like the team to beat in the AFC. sorry the post is long... good nite. Last edited by Dylan; 10-29-2008 at 12:38 AM.. |
