A true example of this would be Trent Green. Never anything special, but look at the numbers he put up behind the O-line he was provided. Same could be said for Priest, but one thing about Holmes, you get him to the one, and you were not going to deny him.
I like Stafford, but would not be disappointed in Sanchez. I do trust the guys making the calls, so I will be happy if they think it is a NT or a LB, which I doubt.
LT with the 3rd is the dumbest thing I could think of, Albert proved he is the guy, wouldn't help the team much to have 2 LTs.
I won't give up on Dorsey even if we go 34, he was projected to play both, I do worry about his coaching. He will at least be able to slap box after this.
We have a chance this year to get the QBOTF, TAKE THE CHANCE! No one is a safe pick.

Trent Green was hand picked by Mike Martz to run the show in St. Louis. He brought Green with him from the Redskins. Green was having a phenomenal preseason before he got hurt.
The next year, Green had a higher passer rating than Kurt Warner on the same team.
Green was a good solid QB.
It is all about 'fits'. Does the player fit the scheme. Does the player's personality fit with the coaching staff.
If the Chiefs decide that Sanchez is WORTH the #3 pick, then they absolutely must take him. Because, you are right in saying that the Chiefs need to get a QBOTF.
That said, I don't think they will feel Sanchez is worth the #3 pick. But, wtf do I know? I am just some hack on a blog stirring up shit.
BTW: I agree that the worst thing we can do...well not the worst... but my least favorite probable move would be a LT.
