DENVER - Veteran NFL running back LaMont Jordan has agreed on a 2-year deal with the Denver Broncos, according to NFL sources who spoke to FOX 31's Josina Anderson Wednesday morning.

The sources told Josina that the deal had not been signed yet, but an agreement had been reached for two years and $2.5 million.

Jordan, 30, spent the 2008 season with New England where he carried the ball 80 times for 363 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The 8th-year veteran was in Arizona Monday meeting with the Cardinals organization, Anderson reports.

Jordan's best season was 2005 when he rushed for 1,025 yards and scored 9 rushing TDs and two receiving TDs. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the New York Jets.

I don't understand why quantity is a bad thing, especially at bargain prices. None of these veterans have been given lucrative guaranteed money deals. Andre Goodman's $10 million signing bonus was the biggest chunk of money the Broncos handed out.

Nothing wrong with it. After the year they had last year I am not surprised at all. The only problem is that there may be too many to get a good evaluation on any of them but most of them have been around for a while so they should know, somewhat, what they are getting.

Just came over the wire, Cutler traded to Vikings for Peterson and Taylor. 11 RB offense is definitely the plan. Young offensive mind McDaniels set to revolutionize the NFL. Probably get Vick to QB the occasional play.

I would really hate to see Peterson in Denver. He's the Perfect Storm, thunder and lightning.
