Any Piano gurus here?

Long story short.

We just moved a piano into our home today. Its about 80 years old, baby grand.

It has no markings or serial numbers ANYWHERE.

Originally purchased in Vermont.

I'm on the piano forums asking around but I thought there might be someone here in the brain trust who might know a thing or two about them.

I would like to know who made the piano and when it was made so I can pass the info along to the insurance company.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what the numbers mean, since I'm not a piano technician. If I had to guess just looking at the photos and what information you've provided is that you have an old Wurlitzer, back when they used to make semi-decent pianos.

But of course, that's just a guess. The music rack looks familiar, and I know that brand was popular before the 1950s. I guess what I'm trying to say is I have no ****ing idea.

If your piano tuner doesn't know, I'm willing to bet he knows the name of a qualified technician who can look up those numbers you tracked down and find out what exactly you have.

Please don't hesitate to give me positive rep if I'm correct

Good luck.

I belong to a few piano forums when I have questions about music. It's the same as CP where everybody thinks they know more than the other guy.

The main difference between the two places is everybody on the piano forums can make complete sentences. They also all know how to spell.
