One thing to get excited about is that Charles is still really raw. He's only going to get better.

Now, the thing is, he's a known quantity now. Teams will stack the line early next season until this team shows it can put the ball down the field. And that means we really need someone that can either press the seam or the deep hashes. So Cottam or a WR with deep speed would be Charles best friend.

Barring injury Charles should go down holding every chief record all time except that touchdowns in a season one.

But, some of what we saw in the Denver game with JC was very Berry'ish. Just when you think a defender had him....one juke and off to the races.

Fellas, I'm really exited about Jamaal Charles. He's got great moves, speed, attitude etc. That said, we're only talking about half a season. Granted it was an AMAZING half a season, but still an incomplete. I think he made the OL better too. With some upgrades, the dude could be flat out scary as hell...if he's not just a flash in the pan.

I dunno. I'm just so used to being disappointed. I really hope this kid surpasses all Chief records and stays healthy and goes to many a pro bowl...while taking us to the big dance.

Just nervous about being so hopeful. Hense my user name...

Backs are back. If they are good, they are good. Most of the time backs don't have flash in the pan seasons (unless they are Denver backs). That's because running the ball is mostly about instincts. So you're either good or not. Skills can decline, like in Larry's case, but Jammal is entering his prime as a back.

Barring injury he'll be even better next year. He doesn't need some great line.

I wouldn't even say he's entering his prime just yet. He's still a kid and with better coaching, O-Line play, and a legit passing attack, this kid is Pro-Bowl worthy. Sure defenses will gameplan against him, but do you think they didn't last year? What did the passing game do that would worry an opposing defense? And I doubt Denver wanted to go out on a losing note like that, expecially when the playoffs were still a possibility.

I still say you break the bank(which salary cap wise they can) and get Vince Wilfork to anchor the line, draft the Best player on the board at 5, and draft the best WR available at 38. Sign a solid veteran RB to take 10 carries for Charles. With Weis bringing order to the offense you are looking at a fun season next year.

I like Jamaal Charles and all but we need to keep our excitement tempered on the guy. There have been too many players flash for half a season then never recapture it. I dont think it will happen but there is always a chance. Especially since we are Chiefs fans.

They were not making big holes. They are not making very big holes now either, but Jamaal hits small holes successfuly. LJ didn't. Jamaal hits alternate holes if his designated one is not there. LJ didn't. LJ just pouted because he wanted to hit big enough holes to make him look good and when they were not there he would hit the wall.

Isn't this the site that everyone uses to show how shitty TJ is.

Well, it's also the site that says that David Gerrard is a better QB that Tom Brady, Kurt Warner, Eli, Donovan, Romo, Matt Ryan, etc.

But JC is the shiiiiiiiiit.
