Very nice mock. Colin Peek could be a nice sleeper. But I don't see any pass rushers, so unless we pick up a guy in a trade or free agency we need to draft atleast 1 OLB pass rusher.

I could live with that draft.

I'd prefer take Clausen w/ the first rounder, but our MLB play was appalingly awful last season so taking the best ILB prospect in the draft and a guy that will definitely be a plus player for us certainly can't be seen as an epic fail.

I think I'd rather see Benn in the 3rd and Jermaine Cunningham in the 4th (though that site seems to hate Cunningham), but I can live with that.

That would be a great draft at least for the first 5 picks.

1. ILB Rolando McClain, Alabama will allow Corey Mays to play special teams.
2. C Maurkice Pouncey, Florida. Rudy Niswanger gets to go to medical school.
2. NT Terrance Cody, Alabama would take the majority of NT snaps and let Ron Edwards alternate.
3. SS Chad Jones, LSU Safety to take over for Mike Brown.
4. WR Jordan Shipley, Texas. A WR and PR man to replace Bobby Wade.

5. OG Ted Larson, North Carolina State. I’d go OL but Ciron Black, Sam Young, Zane Beadles or John Jerry.
5. CB Trevard Lindley – Some good RBs will be here like LeGarrette Blount, Joique Bell, Charles Scott, or James Starks.
5. TE Colin Peek – There are some FA TEs to help us for a year. Jacoby Ford, Freddie Barnes, or Antonio Brown would allow us to move on without Mr. Long. Actually if Peek is still there at this spot, it would be tempting to pick him up.

As-far-as a pass rusher, I'm still hoping there might be a free agent that will be picked up because some team does not want to pay the bonus or the salary.

Also KC can't fix everything in one draft, but this would be a good start.

I think I would rather have Jacoby Ford than Peek though, like Wilson8 said.

Lindley is a stud CB. He would push Carr and easily be our nickel.

I tend to agree.

But the fact is, "meh" would be a major improvement over last year's draft.

How sad is that?

Its a wierd site, their calculations are based on a draft simulation trying to find the best combination of need and value.

However the Chiefs needs at OLB are given a 6 (we have it well covered). So the simulation motor is not going to pick an outside linebacker for us. When I changed this we picked Brandon Spikes with the 2A pick as an rush linebacker making the draft Mclain, Spikes. It needs some serious tweeking Eric Norwood was drafted by the panters as an ILB and Greg Hardy is listed as playing 4-3DE 3-4 OLB and Tight end. If any team drafts Greg Hardy while being set at DE to play TE for them I will buy a hat and eat it.
