Another thing CP has been good for

If it wasn't for CP, I doubt I would have taken an interest in beer. I used to think I hated it, but I've actually grown to appreciate it. Someone once posted a thread about favorite kinds of beer, and it got me curious. Now, in participating in some World Beer Tours, I've come to love beer. Thank you, CP!

Awesome. They do offer Bud and Miller Light/Lite in bottles (and not even listed on the menu) but not on-tap. Laughter is the only appropriate response at that guy's order.

They carry some pretty awful stuff for that beer tour, man.

Speaking of which, I'm drinking some woodchuck right now. Not bad if you like apple cider.

You don't have to drink the awful stuff, which I appreciate. About once every few weeks they switch out 6 "rotator" taps and that is how i've discovered many of the new beers I enjoy.

The beer stuff kind of makes me laugh period. Some people just like Coors Light, etc.Don't see anything wrong with that myself.I have tried lots of differnt fancy beers and many are truly quite good. There is also some major suckage that goes around that people will hype up just because it comes from a certain brewery.I can see the advantage of drinking more expensive beer like that when going out.The I could spend major $$$ drinking 10 beers thing keeps you under control some.As I said, many good beers are out there.I just don't see any disgrace factor in liking Coors and Bud type stuff also.

People like to call me a beer snob but I take it as a joke because one thing I try not to do is denigrate people that choose to drink Bud, Miller, Coors, etc. I know that the reasons that I drink beer are different than the reasons other people may drink beer, so I don't hold the people that drink light beer to get a buzz/drunk going cheaply (in both price and caloric content) to my personal standards of why people should drink beer. Truthfully, I'm all about educating people about what beer is and can be, not acting like my shit doesn't stink because I like to drink certain beers.

I would disagree with your passing off non-macro lagers as "fancy beers." That is not a useful term. I'm curious, though, as to what beers you are referring to as "hyped up shit." I might actually agree on some of the beers you mention.
