The Chiefs apparently had a player taken away from the practice field by ambulance after the media members watching the opening portion of the workout were escorted from the field.

An ambulance arrived at the practice facility in the latter stages of the workout. Coach Todd Haley didn't confirm the Chiefs had an incident at practice other than to indicate something might have happened to one of the team's injured players.

''There’s nobody I know of right now,'' Haley said when asked about the issue after practice. ''The guys out there practicing practiced hard. I didn’t see anything occur where . . . We're fighting through some things with some guys you've been aware of.''

Ryan O'Callaghan, Alex Magee and Cameron Sheffield are the three players on the active roster who were conditioning rather than practicing during the media access portion of practice. O'Callaghan and Magee were spotted in the locker room after practice.

A mystery unfolded in Kansas City on Monday as an ambulance took a player away from the team's practice field, after media members who were present at the practice were escorted from the field.

Per Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star, coach Todd Haley suggested after practice that something happened to one of the team's injured players.

"There's nobody I know of right now," Haley said following the Monday session, per Teicher. "The guys out there practicing practiced hard. I didn't see anything occur where. . . . We're fighting through some things with some guys you've been aware of."

Teicher hints that the player who was taken by ambulance is linebacker Cameron Sheffield, who gave the team a scare during a preseason game after suffering an apparent neck injury. He quickly recovered, and he was released from a hospital the next day.

Still, Teicher makes no mention of the injury that Sheffield suffered. Also, Teicher's item wasn't posted until 11:31 p.m. CT, hours after the incident occurred.

McCluster was arrested this morning for violating the patriot act. It seems as though his cleats exploded during the afternoon practice session. No one died, but Jon McGraw was severely burned. Your support and prayers are welcomed.
