Cassel had a few shitty throws ... missed DBowe at the goal line ... receivers dropped a few but the coaches are the ones that let everyone down. O & D schemes are shit ... Chiefs were out-coached plain and simple.

The O-line played some horrible ball ... team loss though ... blame it on everyone.

Bottom line is this, Cassel has 9 TDs this season. 9!!!!!!! In 8 freaking games and 4 of them came in one game against Indy! So outside of that one good game against the worst pass defense and worst team in football he has 5 TD's and 9 Int's in 7 games with arguably the best WR corps we have ever had and plenty of protection (outside of yesterday). When will people realize he is not the answer? I am just hoping the front office notices this and moves on from him in the offseason. I like his fire and drive and he has all the intangibles you look for in a franchise QB, sadly though he lacks one critical thing a franchise QB needs, and that is talent.

I won't defend Cassel on much, but I will on this one. Get the damn play in on time. He's pissed because it happens all the time and it puts him in a shitty position each time.

PFF says:

No pressure - 88.0
Under pressure - 39.9

No blitz - 85.0
Blitzed - 58.9

Completion percentage drops from:

66 to 47
66 to 51

That's traditional QB rating.

I was referring to the new QBR metric from ESPN.

Either way, as the groundskeepers from Major League would say, "he's still shitty".

I think some of that is on Cassel. I think some of that is on the O-line picking up the blitz. I think some of that is coaching.

THey blitzed us all day and we had absolutely no counter for it at all. no slants, no anything. IT was just terrible, At one point i was like, come on ****ing hot route, something.

As much as the whole team played like shit, a QB that is good would have kept this team in the game. At least score more then 3 ****ing points.

Well, I started a thread about this. I blame the coaches. Yes, Cassel bears some blame but the OC can see WTF is going on and call some 3-step drops, slants, skinny posts, bootlegs...SOMETHING!!!

Instead we just kept doing the same shit over and over.

Even if for the sake of argument we all agree this one wasn't on Cassel........

So what. Its not like it makes him good enough to be the guy we need.

I agree.. I am just saying I don't think the loss can be pinned on him like some want to do. Yes, he could have played better. Yes, he missed guys that were open. But yes, he was getting the crap kicked out of him. You get the shit kicked out of you for 2 or 3 quarters and shit starts going bad for you and you start doing things maybe you shouldn't.

But I think the run for 1-2 yards on 1st and 2nd down are putting him in a position we don't like which is 3rd and long. Ironically we are one of the best teams at converting 3rd and long and that says a lot about him. We just didn't do it Sunday.
