Casino cash: $
Wallets

For nearly 20 years, I carried a Coach wallet. It finally bit the dust 3 or 4 years ago. I've been through 5 or 6 $25-40 wallets since.

Surely there is another maker of men's wallets who puts a couple of leather scraps together well and doesn't charge $150. I mean, I'll spend the money if I have to. Obviously, I'll spend 10x that over the next 20 years $25 at a time but does anybody know of a comparable product.

This is my take as well. The brown water buffalo version gets even better with age. I think I got about 8-10 years out of my last one.

Why do pants have back pockets anyway? None of us likes to sit on a wallet. Why are pants pockets not positioned to be on the back of the hipbone just under the beltline? That'd be much more comfortable. Or even on the side of the hip?

I wear cargo pants a lot, due in no small part to the great knee pockets and thigh pockets on them. You can have bigger pockets and they work better. Cargo pants rule.

I carry my credit card, debit card, drivers license, insurance card, ccw, and whatever cash I have on me.

I don't know why I've only had good luck with the Coach version. Perhaps it's due in part to the first 15 years of its life was spend in a cooshy air conditioned office.
Receipts? How the hell do you get them home in one piece? You should discontinue that practice. Get a folder organizer or something and put it in your pickup. Hell even a coffee can with a slot in the lid will do.

Spend $20 and pick up the front pocket wallet I posted. It's better.

If you want to go back to Coach and not spend a fortune, this is what I carry in my front pocket. Had it for 7 years and it still looks new.

And ditto the receipt organizer in the truck idea.

That's about right.

I bought a Wally-World wallet for about $40 my sophomore year of high school and with a little electrical tape and duct tape I still have it...
