The old saying is "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach".
That applies perfectly to Trent Dilfer. He has an outstanding understnding of the game, and the position, but he could never apply the combination of his knowledge and talent to practical use on the field. Some of the best teachers are guys who were jouneyman, at best. The QB guru for incoming draftees is Chris Weinke.
