Poor plate discipline for the most part.

Good example:

Last night we had bases loaded with 0 outs. Elliot Johnson was at bat. The 2 hitters in front of Johnson were walked. So what does Johnson do? Swings at the first ****ing pitch and pops out to the 1st baseman.


That's on the hitter and the coaches. The hitter should know to take a pitch or two in that situation and the coaches should make sure he does.

If the 2 guys in front of you just walked, WTF would you bail out a pitcher by swinging at the 1st ****ing pitch?
