I literally stood on this very ground at Lanzerath two weeks ago. It is a solemn experience.

This was part of a 2-day staff ride I do each year with some Army officers, and the first stop on the staff ride is Lanzerath, where 18 Joes held up the German main effort for at least 12 hours.
