While I don't mind old school Hip Hop & Rap, I just can't get into today's scene.

But Grunge killed rock. Rappers became Rock Stars.

People can say "Oh, there's still great rock music out there, you just have dig for it". Well, that's fine and dandy most people don't have the time or patience to find it and when they do, their kids aren't interested.

So now, we live in a world of Legacy Acts, Max Martin, Rap and new school Country.

Can you elaborate on this? Never really made the connection myself but now that you point that out it does seem that way, just curious as to why or how that happened.

I am with Bug. Why?

I mean there's a clear decline in mainstream rock after grunge but what was the reason it killed it? I'm a HUGE 90's rock fan and outside of a few bands that still produce decent music, I haven't heard a new rock band I like in years.

Agreed. Why is that? Rick Rubin/ Russell Simmons thats mainly why.

Ye boy, their second record is worth buying. I watched their show mainly supporting the second album and had several spine tinglies and then even some MORE ****ING TINGLES !

Hard rock tilted to Death Metal and Thrash, while legacy acts didnt resonate with disenfranchised youth of the early ninties.. big hair and makeup to flannel.

That and the music industry changed .but i defer to Dane on that.
