7. Winning Conference tournament

I put a Final Four above all others. Final Four is all you need. You don't even need the title. Titles are great, but once you're in the Final Four, you should relax and have fun, because the season is now absolutely a success.

In fact, I put making the tournament above winning a national title. Because Kentucky missing the tournament I guarantee was more shaming than winning the title was glorifying. They can brag about the championship all they want, and you always have "Robert Morris" as a comeback. They'll argue, sure... but they know. ****ing disgraceful.
If I was a player, I'm sure I'd deal with an NIT season for a NC, and of course if you're one and done, it doesn't matter anyway.

As a fan... meh. Two NCs since 2008 and an NIT ending or 1 NC, a championship appearance, and no throwaway seasons.... I guess I could sit back and not care about 30 point losses to teams like Tennessee and keep telling myself how sweet that NC was, but that run was already pretty sweet, so it's hard to say yeah, throw away an entire season of basketball for one more win, even if it would have been a really awesome win.

Just bad all around. There will be sunlight Jayhawk fans. Give it time.
They did play some respectable D for a lot of the game, which is significant given the size and talent they were playing against. I posted earlier that I can't really blame Self for dumping his bread and butter for more than a decade to have a shot at winning a largely meaningless November game.

It does suck though. I would have been ecstatic if we'd have owned them.

I heard a Kansas fan say that Self planned to get blown out in this game so he can tell recruits they need them more than Kentucky does

It's a Kansas fan, so of course he's clinging to hope that that isn't true.

UK would win the NBA finals
No NBA team could beat UK in a 7 game series.
UK could hold Lebron James to 25 points
UK will go undefeated
UK will win every game by an average of 25 points
UK will only lose IF the refs screw them
