Looking for a quad cab pickup

I've spent the last 6 1/2 years getting the crap beat out of me by my rough riding Dakota and I don't really want another one.

I've seen a few Explorer Sport Tracs that are reasonably priced, but I'm worried that they're cheap for a reason. I know the Explorers of the 90s were garbage.

I do like the Chevy Colorados but the resale on them is ridiculous. Hell I may as well buy a Toyota for what they're going for. And they have a 5 cyl...wtf?

Anybody have any experiences with either of these?

truck prices are crazy. And I am going to try to disable the binger on my truck. I usually don't drive without a seatbelt but hate noise.

My dad rarely put on his seatbelt. When he drove the car to church, he would just let it bing and yell "Jesus Christ" and ignore it.
Kid 1 has that car now. She yells "Jesus Christ" once a week just to let her grandparents know she loved them. She sounds like dad at times too.

Well they are cool. And useful. I had finally decided to go full size/regular cab/short bed 4x4 and very quickly found out those trucks don't exist anymore. Everything was either ext cab/crew cab/long bed etc or only 2wd. After looking for about a month I said **** it and bought the Dakota.

Buhler-the real problem (to me) with today's cars is they all look alike. They are not special. They are not cool. Unless you get into the Camero, Charger, Mustang cars.

Most cars are either 4 door sedans or hatchback Hondas. Yeah, cool.

Kids cars used to have style, personality. I had a 76 Cutlass. That was fun and cool.
No way in hell am I driving a 2014 Malibu or a new Dart.

Some jackass in a BMW or Jag or Hundai or a damn SUV (mom car) buzzes around me and I usually say "Yup, but you can't haul a firepit in that thing.

Huh, I didn't bother Googling this issue because every time I google about disabling something safety related it turns out to be dead end. But anyway, I googled it, and it turns out Sauto was right except he missed the part about waiting for the seat belt light to go out before the 3 buckle/unbuckles.

HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW HOMETEAM

(I seriously would've bought a Ford if I could have found one in the configuration I wanted)

It's true, manufacturers are totally mailing it in on styling anymore. That's one thing that's always stood out to me about Dodge trucks, they simply look better. I've always thought the second generation Dakota was one of the best looking trucks ever made. And all the full size Rams since the '96 redesign have been very cool. Wish more of that would have carried over to the later generation Dakota but IMO it's still more to look at than the Colorado.

I had a 2004 Dakota and now have a 2015 Ram. Loved both of them. This is the RAM just after i bought it. Before the Chiefs Arrowheads go on.

Hemi V8-gas. Could get 22+ on the highway if I did 55.

I like that too. I needed 4 doors.

I am criminally pragmatic. I can't bring myself to give a flying feces about "cool". As far as being one in a million, that's what pickups are here. Everyone has one. Everyone.

If he'd go spend dollar for dollar on a car with some zip that could crush all these dumb****s with pickups in a race he would be the one that stands out.

NOPE. PIXUP.

And broke. Forgot about broke.
