Music Shamesong - Your lamest favorite song - Page 11

Caught this in passing recently and had forgotten how pleasant it was. Turns out, a lot of my friends had all but forgotten it, yet got emotional just listening to a few bars.

By all rights, this should be the poster song for everything wrong with that era, but it survives on, I don't know what, simplicity, earnestness.

Not to say this is my 'favorite favorite' song, but it's pretty impressive, and a little perplexing, how well it holds up.

I only became familiar with the Eagles of Death Metal after terrorists attacked their Bataclan concert in Paris. I became infatuated with their sound (so, as is common for me, I'm late to the party by a decade or so).

I was driving somewhere with my daughter not long ago and she played this song that hit that same spot for me and it turns out that that's because it's a collaboration with EODM:
