If he's willing to continue to write lyrics for the band, I could definitely see them continuing with a guy like Mike Portnoy or the like.

There are plenty of great drummers in the world that could join Rush without missing a beat. But his lyrics could never be matched.

That said, drumming like that is a young man's game. It's also the reason Bill Ward wasn't a part of the last Black Sabbath record and tour. Health issues interfered.

Phil Collins can't drum anymore either due to neck problems.
