So we've got him here. He appears to be a good backup. But his contract seems to indicate that Dorsey wanted to take a stab to see if he's better than Alex.

Is he worth it?

If he were to throw it earlier to a spot so the reciever could be there then yes. But they showed a replay from the end zone camera angles at the game and the LB was just waiting for it to be thrown ahead of the reciever. Just an FYI.

The LB is too far away to make a play even if the ball is thrown ahead of Hill. And even in a case where the LB is close, you can throw low so there's no chance of Hill getting hit. Theres no reason to miss that pass at all.

Nice. Thanks for posting this. I had not gone back for a second look, but felt sure then from look 1 that the underneath LB was not.. could not.. have been a factor. Was just a bad miss.

In the future, I'd like to see Conley flatten that route to run along the EZ line in response to that specific RCB/S coverage. (not that it mattered here)
