Chris Conley is showing signs of being healthy and returning to form from his week five season ending injury last season and Jehu Chesson showed significant promise his rookie season.

Brett Veach has shown that he is not afraid to cram as many free-agent running backs into his stable this spring and summer, yet is it truly necessary to do the same at the WR position? And if the Chiefs sign Eli Rogers is this the end for Conley,Chesson or DeAnthony Thomas?

Mahomes developed repoire with Robinson because he is the best option he's had when he's entered games. That's different from what we need which is an underneath slot receiver. Rogers has really good hands where Robinson does not. Conley has good hands and is fast but he isn't great at getting open. I don't know if an injured Eli Rogers is better than that, but the Chiefs were hunting for slot receivers all offseason. Veach knows we can do much better.
