I'm a 60's rock and roller, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Blind Faith etc and in my opinion good music is good music, period it doesn't matter what genre' it is. if it's good its good.

Anyone who listens to Bluegrass understands that the "pickers" literally ROCK their guitar, mandolin, banjo or bass. I have heard 80 year old guitar pickers play runs that most rock guitar "masters" would be proud of. All brought to the hills of North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee by the Scots. ![]() |

Going through and giving out Rep when I found this post. Have you guys seen "The Ronnie Wood Show"? I found it on some Music channel on our cable provider. I guess he has a radio show so they video him too and he has a guest on every week, they play pieces of different songs, talk about their influences and play along and tell stories. I have been hooked on it. Plus he had Steve Cropper on a week or so back. I just saw Steve play when he came into town with Dave Mason. We have a great old theater in a small town way west of Chicago and they have these oldies acts come through and they all do a great job. Not the greatest concert I ever went to but I marked them off the list. Steve told some of the same stories and made others longer and told some different ones. He was the best of the guest on Ronnies show. |

My best friend from the old neighborhood used to be married to Paul Jackson's cousin, so I've been seeing Blackberry Smoke since they were playing to 50 people at Knuckleheads. We've played some shows with them too, and I even got them on archive.org : https://archive.org/details/Blackberry_Smoke Most of the KC/Como/StL area shows were taped by me; Sept 2014 in Lawrence and CoMo especially hot, along with StL 2015.
