We went through so many years...hell, DECADES...without a legit homegrown QB.
And now we have been blessed with-I know it's too early to say this, but I'm gonna-the greatest quarterback the game has ever seen. And he seems like every bit as good of a kid as he is a quarterback. Thank you, God. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. |

Yesterday's game thawed me out to where I finally believe GOOD things will happen........it took a LONG time.

It still doesn't feel real after all the pain we've been through. Failed retread after retread. I'm in the Northeast so my friends and family just don't get what this guy means to the fanbase.
I can't believe this is the quarterback for our favorite team. |

We have had an explosive offense before. Our offense in the vermeil era was flat out dominant. We have never had one that can flat out take over games in critical stretches. We've never had a Jordan like closer who with a 20 point lead in the 4th quarter, you still sweat bullets over what Jordan is about to do to you. Montana was solid but a shell of himself. Trent was ok at best with the game on the line. Mahomes with the game on the line is something we haven't seen before.

They were talking yesterday about how the Chargers discussed drafting Mahomes at #7 but decided they needed a Receiver to help Phyliss and took Williams instead. Can you imagine him being a Charger and having to know we got 20 years of this to face. Ha, suckers!
