Chiefs trying to trade Justin Houston
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Chiefs talking to teams about trading OLB Justin Houston.

We doubt they're successful. Houston turned 30 last month and carries an exorbitant $21.1 million cap hit. If the Chiefs don't find a trade partner, they're fully expected to release Houston, especially with Dee Ford likely coming back on either a big-money deal or the franchise tag. Houston's play has slipped in recent years, but he can be an effective sub-package rusher off the edge

You do realize that they play completely different positions. An interior Defensive lineman is no where near the same as a LB.

The Draft is pack with Defense, especially defensive line and pass rushers. That really hurt our chances of trading Houston.

This. You put Ford as the Leo and he’s not defending the run worth a damn. I’m all for this trade. I don’t see Flowers coming here because I thought I read somewhere he’s going to price is way out of KC. But we’ll see what Veach does.
