(No, I'm not whining about rep... just making an observation)

Before the thumb up/down feature, I noticed I got a lot more feedback on my posts through rep. And since it's been in place, I noticed that more people are clicking thumb up/down on my posts than they would click for rep, which means I don't receive rep or rep comments nearly as often.

Do you find this to be true for you? Have you noticed yourself giving a thumb/up down more often than you would have given rep in the past?

Wait a minute. Im just a lurker and only post a few times a year but you guys are looking for positive reinforcement from the internet? Who gives a shit, post your opinion, have a discussion, and move on. O guess I'm the old cranky ass that doesn't need a thumbs up to feel better.

I use REP much more. Haven't gotten into the thumbs up and down thing.

I like thumbs down because it can bury a post that offers nothing to the conversation. My thumbs up is still using rep.

To answer the OPs direct question, yes, I've noticed less rep since the thumbs went active.
