Yeah! Sweet! Blur out everything in the background! It's just like Madden ya'll!!!!

Ok. People like video games. People like football. People like the football video game.

But do people seriously like the video game football?

I get that it debuted last season, but who the **** thought this was such a great idea that they're putting it on ALL the goddamn broadcasts?

If I were BlackOp, this would be where I'd claim the NFL is in cahoots with the Illuminati to get us all used to an all VR world when they plug us into the matrix as energy slaves.

I don't remember how the cameras got the name "8K", but the shots in question aren't 8K resolution. If memory serves they have started using actual 8K resolution cameras so they can zoom in really closely on replays and such. But those aren't the shots with the video game effect.

Those are just 1080p cameras filming at a super shallow depth so that everything in the background is blurry. And they started using them because some people thought it looked cool, it wasn't anything more than that.
