The script has flipped

Defenses are playing bend don’t break, forcing us into ball control offense where we have to be virtually perfect.

Meanwhile, our D has turned most offenses into quick strike scorers.

It’s not gonna change until we rebuild the D.

Maybe we need to take a step back and regroup and recharge our batteries.

They've figured it out. Run more. Throw more short passes. That can open up the bigger plays. They're just not executing well.

Yeah that may just be it. People complain about the short passes and ineffective runs but until we show we can do either of those things well, teams are probably just going to keep doing what they're doing. No reason not to. It definitely slows us down. Might still give up a bomb here and there but the really good teams like Tampa and Buffalo are going to be able to run with us.

CEH is garbage. We need a replacement at the RB position.
As others have said, cut Clark, let go of Hitchens and Sorensen, give Mattheu a one year extension, if he don't agree, kiss his ass goodbye.
We need to draft edge and safety desperately. I would go even further and say we need to let Bienemy go. That guy is useless. Give Kafka the OC position and let his young mind run this offense. We are stuck with Andy but I would not be against the idea of letting Spags go either. We need tough coaches in this team, the Gregg Williams type.

Well, the good news is we'll be drafting much higher than usual next April.

Barring a miracle of defensive revival, Spags is gone at the end of the season.
Even Clark Hunt, who hates confrontations, will pull the plug on this guy. Actually, he'll order Veach who will order Andy to pull the plug on Spags.

Would be nice if we had a RB who was an actual threat to do something.

We used a 1st round pick on a RB that isn't as good as UDFAs.

Yeah, it's weird people are mad and calling it the Alex Smith offense. Like, what exactly is their plan to counter if it's not executing short passes well enough to force the safeties to come down and cover them? Do they think the deep ball will magically start working again?

People are overreacting a bit offensively. The offense has moved the ball well until last night. They even ran the ball well against the Eagles. Short passes were working well. The difference last night is Buffalo's defense is actually good. They executed better. I still expect the Chiefs offense to roll against other defenses not as talented.
