Some Things About Super Bowl 56: Rams 23 Been Gals 20

So, the SB is over. St. Louis wins its second ring. A couple quick observations:

1) Cheaters never prosper (except for Tom Brady). When Higgins got away with jerking Ramsey to the ground by his face mask and scoring a TD, how could the refs miss something blatant like that? Unbelievable.

2) The refs giveth, the refs taketh away. The first three penalties for the Been Gals were all personal fouls - The AFC North has ALWAYS been dirty. Then in the last :60 of the game, the refs jumped in and started calling Cincy D-Backs on holding and DPI penalties left and right until the Rams had enough chances to actually score. Kinda like what happened to KC in Cincy when the Been Gals won the AFC North on a final play of the game field goal. Sucks to be beaten by the zebras, eh?

3) Eli Apple, the Cincy DB who got beat for the final TD, was poor mouthing the Chiefs offense after the AFC Championship game, and said KC was too cocky to win. Suck on a Super Bowl loss for a whole year, dude. We know how it tastes. Now, so do you.

4) And you and "Joe Cool The Third" will probably have to wait another 33 years for your next chance at a ring because next year, you play a first place schedule and won't have all the roll-over weak sister games you had this year. And Mister Herbert, Mister Allen, Mister Jackson and especially Mister Mahomes might have a little sumptin sumptin to say about it next year.

5) Screw you, Chris Collinsworth. You don't have a Been Gals ring either. And thanks for bringing up how KC blew a second half lead in the AFC Championship game over and over and over........and over.

6) I really hate both these teams, but glad the Blanton Kid from Blue Springs South got a ring, and I hope Aaron Donald retires. Von Miller too.

7) Two years in a row, the Super Bowl has been won by a team on their home field. Well, sorta home field for the Rams. That field is really NOBODYs home field.

8) That's about it, except for the halftime show. Sorry, rap is not in my demographic. I'm frickin' old, and I get that. But all these 60 year old rappers that keep grabbing their Johnsons should be doing PSAs for prostate exams. And Mary J Blige's next album should be called "Too Fat to Twerk." That outfit was not flattering. Somebody should have told her.

9) Cooper Kupp was the Super Bowl MVP. Early Sales Idea for the Rams Marketing Weasles. Do a poster with Cooper arm in arm with Two Rams Cheerleaders. Call it: "Two Girls One Kupp!"

10) Now MLB needs get the labor stuff settled. We need baseball and we need it now!

I wasn't necessarily surprised at how many times they mentioned the Chiefs/Bengals, but I don't recall them mentioning the NFCCG once... just a mention or two of ending Brady's career the week prior.

Glob, you know I really don't think Joe is a very good QB, here me out, in college he has absolutely amazing skill guys, now with the Bungels he has arguably the best skill guys ( 3 A WR's) and a B/B+ RB with a B TE. I mean the guy is stacked with great players. When I watch him play I get he had some huge games but it was much more the WR doing special things vs. his plays.

Nothing about watching him play looks special at all. He looks like a 9-15 best QB in the NFL and that's about it. I really don't see them getting back for a long time if ever.

Lighting just struck this year in their division, the Ravens were decimated with injuries including their QB, Pittsburgh just needs a average QB to compete/win each year against them and the Browns beat them twice last year. There is a good chance they don't even win their division for years.

Just watching him play he is just ehhhhhhh, a bit Alex Smtihish . I mean better than a lot of teams but I don't think he will ever be a top 5 QB... ever...

I disagree, he's a little more dynamic than Smith, and he can throw it deep with accuracy and guts. I think he's more than just a one year wonder, but I also agree, he's got a lot to prove. They had a good year, largely due to his play, I'm not gonna take that away from him. Next year will tell more of the story of Burrow. But if I'm a Bungle fan, I'm happy to have that guy under center. In fact, if not for Mahomes, I'd take him or Allen as my QB.

I get where your coming from but if you look back at his career it wasn't until he had several elite offensive skill players before he became a head turner but I think it says WAY more about the talent at Skill than the QB.

Meaning if you have at WR: Chase , Higgins, Boyd, Mixon and Uzomah you easily have the best "all together" skill team in the league. Chase is a A+, Higgins is a A, Boyd is a A-, Mixon is a B/B+, and Uzomah for a TE is a B+

He just throws the ball up for grabs knowing his WR can make the play. There is very little skill he has when it comes to his passes, its not like he puts them into spots no one else can get but his receiver, he literally just throws up for grabs.

MOST QB's can do that in the NFL, he holds onto the ball like Brody Croile which means it takes him a long time to process whats going on, and his arm talent is just average for a QB.

He's kinda a Derek Carr, Jared Goff, Garaoppolo kind of mold.

Nothing special about him besides the "idea" that he is cool under pressure but we was anything but that during the post season. His defense and Playmakers helped pull him out. He is just slightly above average.

I'm glad he is in the AFC,he is just good enough that the Bengals are going to lock him up long term but not good enough to do anything long term.

I think Burrow is gonna be more Matt Ryan than Alex Smith.

That was a hard Super Bowl to watch as a Chiefs fan.

They need to do EXACTLY what KC did after our loss in SB.

Yep. Although you couldn't tell that when the Chiefs played them.
