What was your favorite regular season game as a Chiefs fan?

For me it was probably the Duane Rudd helmet throw. That season was a wild ride but that solidified it's not over till it's over.

Some of these games I forgot.

Charles 5 TD against Raiders

DT 6 sacks vs Raiders. Has anyone had the crazy amount of multiple sacks in a game like DT?

Didn’t Adrian Clayborn randomly have like 6 sacks against the Cowboys a few years ago?

The Andre Rison catch. I laughed at my Raider buddy. He was not amused.

The look on Joe Bugle's face after that. MNF replayed that catch and then did the slow-mo of his face scrunching up. Was ****ing hilarious.

A ton of great finishes over the years. Been to many, but I’m still sentimental about the Brandsmart game in 99 because it was my last weekend in KC before moving to Florida. Weather was perfect that day and we blanked the Chargers 34-0. I doubt Brandsmart ever ran that promotion again.

The game we destroyed the defending AFC champs on one of the first MNF games I remember seeing the Chiefs in, at an absolutely thirsty Arrowhead sticks out as my favorite. The domination on the field of a good team, it was the first time I remember thinking of the Chiefs as a team that could be the team (the beginning of a very long trudge through the wilderness). I was over the moon elated and was therefore completely destroyed when we lost to the same team in Buffalo in the divisional round.

There of course have been other great ones, but that one was so significant in my personal fanhood. I mark the Royals winning the World Series as my "awakening" to sports. The Chiefs were still very bad for several years (with a brief blip in 86) and despite the playoff season in 90, this was the first time I remember feeling like we're not just a playoff contender, we were something more.

Super Bowl LIV. After Mahomes hit wasp, I just felt like the game was ours. Only after rewatching it, did I realise that we were still behind when Sammy torched Richard Sherman. The utter joy of seeing Damian break off tackle and seal the first championship in 50 years. As much as I will always remember those plays, the real reason it is my favorite is who I was watching it with. My wife, both daughters, their husbands, and my 4 grandkids. I honestly think that may have been the happiest I have ever been in my life. Getting to share that with them, after being a Chiefs fan since December 25, 1971, was the most awesome experience I have ever had.

The Chiefs preserved the shutout and BrandSmart had to give away more than $400,000 in merchandise.

Still, BrandSmart didn't actually lose any money as a result of this promotion. There's a company called SCA Promotions that insures promotions, prizes, and other risky marketing efforts for a small percentage of the prize value being offered (SCA determines the percentage based on the likelihood of the prize being won), alleviating the companies from a potential windfall (some professional teams do this with player performance bonuses as well). Every time a corporation trots a fan onto the field to punt a ball into the bed of a pickup truck or attempt a 40-yard field goal to win $50,000, the prize is almost always insured. In the end, BrandSmart sold $425,000 in merchandise and only had to pay a fraction of that to SCA.
