Some things about the slog in the bog

Whew, that was ugly. A 'W' is a 'W'.

1) I am absolutely certain that we are going to find out sometime in the near future that Carl Cheffers is a degenerate gambler and shaves points for the mob. Every time we get him, he throws the flags when we're about to boat race somebody and blow the spread. I have zero doubt of this, and nothing you can say will convince me otherwise.

2) Sick Chris Jones = no pass rush. Embarassing, really. You can blame Spags if you want, but it wouldn't matter if you dragged George Halas out of the grave, you're not stopping anybody if you can't pressure with 4.

3) I think you've got to just put Butker on IR and do something else. Like, anything else. You just can't head into the play-offs with a guy blowing it like this. If it's because he's not 100%, or if he's mentally ****ed due to trying to play less than healthy, whatever, but right now, you can't depend on him at all.

4)You can't put the ball on the ground like that. Pacheco is a rookie, and I'm not going to bust his balls too much. But you just can't do that, and he and Juju know that.

5) Mahomes quietly had one of his best games, and our OT's still suck donkey balls. Brown is approaching bottom third LT's in football, and Wylie blows goats.

6) Some of those calls were absolute bullshit-like the illegal contact when the Texans receiver ran into Thornhill and they called the penalty on Thornhill. Embarassingly bad reffing.

7) The lack of pass rush coupled with the youth in the secondary is worthy of great concern. Pair that with shitty offensive tackle play and a tendency to put the ball on the ground has me feeling...not too optimistic. The turnovers can be cleaned up, but we have an ability deficiency at a few really key spots that are going to be hard to overcome.

8) The screen call was not a bad call at the end of regulation; it had been money all day. Not enough time, really, to drop back and throw downfield; as we saw when we tried it in OT. Thuney got smoked on that one, although Brown's man was an instant behind.

9)Texans have been playing over their heads, and The Chiefs are obviously in one of their mentally tired periods in which they just don't look focused. Other than Mahomes, who was stellar today. They better get right, and do it quick.

10) How about that Jerick Mckinnon!? Boy, he's become everything we'd hoped Clyde would be. I don't care what you say, I'd never draft a RB in the first ever again.

BONUS THING-

Houston is nasty, and is my least favorite city in America.

It may have been mentioned elsewhere but just read that Mahomes set a record for highest completion percentage by a QB with a minimum of 40 passes in the history of the NFL.

**** these rape covering twats.
#58 in particular. At one point, when Kelce was on the ground after a catch, 58 tried to hit him with an elbow. Kelce rolled out of the way and 58 missed, but you see Kelce stand up and say something to afterward. 58 was pulling shit like that all game.

Yeah I noticed that too. It reminded me of when Cisco tried to hit stick kelce then pissed his pants. It’s frustrating and nobody gets this more than kelce. Houston and Tennessee were blatantly doing things after the whistle, and Jacksonville was following a similar script. Defenses are using knocking the living shit out of our receivers as their top strategy and for a league supposedly worried about player safety, the league sure doesn’t give a shit about it.

So when kelce gets pissed about this stuff I can’t blame him for a second. He shouldn’t have to if refs remotely did their job.

I've decided that there are no gimme's. We better strap in, every game on our schedule is a potential loss. So much for the "easy schedule" down the stretch...

Having said that, Chiefs won. That's all that matters. On to Seattle...
One sided officiating can do that to a game

Rewatched the condensed version over lunch here.

Guys, it was the turnovers. That's the difference in what happened and them winning by 3 scores.

Even with the Pacheco fumble, ok, it's 13-14 at the half.

Chiefs come out second half, motor down the field, end up kicking a FG and it's 16-14. Chiefs force a 3 and out, then the offense is motoring down the field again. JJSS on 2nd and 17 gains 8 or 9, just run out of bounds there.

It's third and 9 ish. Anyone think the Chiefs aren't getting that?

Just don't fumble the ball twice and they win 38-14.

Turnovers are just the biggest key and thing here.

No pass rush & turning it over every game is what will be their downfall. It's amazing this team is 11-3 you've got to give all the credit & the MVP to Mahomes

The third can be remedied. The first two? It's a lot to overcome. We DO have Mahomes, and so it's possible, but it's a tall order.
I think 2 can also be helped by using TEs/RBs/etc. to chip. Seemed like we were doing that a few weeks ago but have abandoned it as of late.
