Share your Vegas stories from SB 58

I just had some interesting interactions here in Vegas and thought others could share cool stories in a thread.

1st: On my connecting flight in yesterday from Minneapolis I sat next to kyte Juszczyk's mom. Her flight out of Cleveland was delayed and she had been rebooked. I asked why she wasn't out to Vegas earlier and she said she is an Accountant and can't afford that much time off with it being the start of Tax season. She was super nice and very unassuming. It was surreal during the flight when her daughter in law, Kristin, was being interviewed by ESPN about her NFL fashion designs and I tapped her elbow and showed her on my screen. I hope the Chiefs throttle SF, but his Mom was super nice.

2nd: We went to the Prince show, Purple Reign, and got back to the hotel about 11:30 and headed to the bar for a few drinks. Started talking with this couple and it ended up being Robert Jones, who play MLB for the Cowboys during their 3 superbowl run in the 90's. Zay Jones is their son. He had his 3 Superbowl Rings and his wife went and got them and he let look at them and try them on. We talked with him for about an hour about football, and our similar business interest. Zay still has a house in Vegas from when he was a Raider, and they were here visiting, but stayed in a hotel, because as he stated, "Zay is single and he is having a Single Guy's Vegas SB weekend and they wouldn't have gotten much sleep... Very cool dude with great stories.

It's great that despite differing tastes we still have a lot in common...

If you aren't at the NFL experience, I don't know that it's any more than usual. Restaurant menus didn't change. Drinks are still about $20 A piece. We paid $12 for 2 gatorades last night in the hotel mini store. Cab from airport
To hotel was the same as it was in December when I was here

Are the roads still all screwed up with traffic cones, lane closures and redirects?

It was a mess just a few weeks ago when i was there for CES.

Woah you buried the lead! Sounds like Sneed would be happy with a franchise tag.

Why wouldn't he? Dirt poor. Working at Wendys. $22 million sounds like a lot to most people.

Didn't get to Bed until about 3:30. Similar to 2020, Niner fans thought they were in control... When it was third and long in OT the ones by us started chanting nananana nananana hey hey hey goodbye. Made no sense, then Patrick firmly placed the Grim Reaper sickle through their hearts. Once again it was glorious to see their complete devastation.

After the game I just happened to run into Jared McKinnons 2 Aunts and cousin. Super nice ladies and so proud and jacked up for him being able to play and win.

It was glorious to see the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl 58 Champions on the Raiders Stadium.

Lots of Bronco fans ere milling around as well. One at our hotel had a Russell Wilson Jersey on but his little dog was wearing a Mahomes jersey. I just looked at hi when I walked by and said, " Well at least your dog is smart".

I saw a lot of Broncos and Seahawks jersey this weekend. Guy in elevator had Seahawks painted face. I said, well you're dedicated! I must say, there can't be a better city to host the Super Bowl, than Vegas.

Doesn't seem to be much danger of the hometown team getting a home game in the Super Bowl when it's in Vegas.
