Just made a trade and sold the farm this year
As I have talked about here a time or two, one of my fantasy teams is and was expected to be complete trash this year. I have won the league two of the last three years and taken third the other year. I did this by drafting well and more importantly great waiver pickups/keepers that I dealt for early round stud talent. That finally caught up to me and I have only a couple decent keepers this year. So, here is the trade I just made:
Players given up:
Carl Crawford(2)
Ryan Howard(can't be kept)
Robinson Cano(2)
Mariano Rivera(can't be kept)
Players I got:
Steven Strasburg(25)
Joey Votto(24)
Jay Bruce(6)
Mark Reynolds(5)
The numbers next to the player are the rounds that the players may be kept in next season. Obviously I have given up this season but I got arguably the best starting pitching prospect in 10-20 years to keep in the second to last round next year, and Votto in the third to last round. This is a H2H league, not 5x5 roto.
Flame away or just give me your opinions of the trade.
